Program funds six to eight workshops for journalists on critical topics in the news

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Poynter Institute and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation today announce that Poynter will continue to administer McCormick’s Specialized Reporting Institutes (SRI) program through 2013. SRIs are a popular series of intensive reporting workshops designed to provide subject-specific expertise and practical skills to working journalists.

The program reinforces the two institutions’ shared belief that citizens need access to quality news content.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. / AARHUS, Denmark – The Poynter Institute and Denmark-based CCI have agreed to join forces to provide Poynter’s signature journalism and leadership training around the world to news organizations that use CCI’s cross-platform content management solutions.

The Poynter/CCI seminar series is designed to help news organizations maximize the return on their investment in CCI software, manage change and ease the adaption of technology tools in their organizations.

Cal State Fullerton to Join Poynter Journalism 101 Pilot Program

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (August, 2011) –The Poynter Institute’s e-learning project, News University (Poynter NewsU), today announced that California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) will become the third school to partner in the Journalism 101 pilot program it launched earlier this year.

CSUF joins Florida Atlantic University and Missouri State University as the first schools that will participate in this unique e-learning pilot.
