Jennette Smith (nee Cason) is a marketing coordinator at The Poynter Institute. She began working at Poynter in August 1990, as a faculty secretary in the Management and Leadership program area and went on to work in Visual Journalism. Jennette is a native of Florida who grew up in New Jersey and New York. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1979, and has held a variety of positions with the City of St. Petersburg, the now defunct Fotomat, and the St. Petersburg Times.
