Andrew DeLong serves as a program coordinator at Poynter. Prior to joining the Institute, he worked at the Tampa Bay Times as both a writer and editorial assistant. His passion for journalism first brought him to Poynter as a participant in the High School Journalism Program and then again as a member of the Poynter Fellowship for College Journalists. He is a native Floridian and enjoys volunteering in his community. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.
